Dan is a proven performer and problem solver, experienced in urban forestry projects and published on several subjects in journals, proceedings, symposia and trade magazines. He has implemented city-wide comprehensive plans, zoning and development regulations, subarea plans, overlay districts, and community communication plans in two states, in addition to managing projects as diverse as telecom upgrades, Y2K system readiness, and mainframe and server upgrades. All of these projects utilized extensive community and user input throughout the planning and implementation process.
Danís practice currently concentrates on implementing green infrastructure via applied policy, long-range planning projects and education. He speaks and instructs at the state, national, and international levels on implementing green infrastructure into stormwater plans, urban design, and renewable energy projects, as well as sharing his knowledge of natural science with diverse groups.
